Not confirmed information! | |  | | Description: | | At least 25 people have been hospitalized after an ammonia gas leak in a milk processing plant near Gulawati in Bulandshahr district on Saturday. According to the police, a valve in a 100 liter tank of ammonia gas had come loose which led to the gas leak. Police also said the injured persons were all "stable". "The incident took place around nine am on Saturday. There is a milk processing plant in the area. We are not sure of the exact reason yet but prima facie, it looks like that the valve of a 100 liters ammonia tank came loose. That seems to have caused the gas leak. At first, we thought only 15-20 people were affected by the leak but we realized later that the number of people affected was greater. By the 3 pm, a total 35 people had been hospitalized," said senior sub-inspector Paan Singh at Gulawati police station. He added saying, "The situation was brought under control in a short amount of time. The officials at the milk plant managed to close to valve of the ammonia tank and work could resume on the milk plant. The situation in the area is now normal. The people who were affected by the leak were taken to a government hospital in Gulawati. They are all stable and out of danger." | | | | |  |  |
