MTV Lebanon reported that the fire was caused after a bus crashed into an electricity pole. Smoke could be seen billowing from an area densely populated by pine trees around Jeitta in the Kesrouan district, where the famous Jeitta Grottos are located. Firefighters rushed to the scene, but witnessed difficulties in putting out the flames due to the steep incline.
